Brie Larson Back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Brie Larson is back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) for the fifth time in The Marvels. In a recent interview, the actress revealed whether or not she will return to the MCU in the future.

The Marvels: Brie Larson’s Fifth Appearance in the MCU

After Captain Marvel (2019), Avengers: Endgame (2019) and brief appearances in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021) and Ms. Marvel (2022), Brie Larson returns as Carol Danvers for the fifth time in The Marvels. Directed by Nia DaCosta, the 33rd MCU film has been in theaters since November 8. This new installment tells the further adventures of Captain Marvel, this time surrounded by Ms. Marvel and Monica Rambeau.

The three women join forces to confront the terrible Dar-Benn (Zawe Ashton), a Kree warrior who seeks to steal the power of other planets to revive her own. Unfortunately for MCU fans, The Marvels is a critical and commercial flop. The film received mostly negative reviews and only earned $161 million at the box office.

The Future of Captain Marvel in the MCU

In a recent interview with ET, Brie Larson confirmed that The Marvels would not be the last appearance of Carol Danvers in the MCU:

“I don’t want to get in trouble with Marvel. But yes, there’s definitely something. Obviously, there are things I would like to say, but I won’t.”

A mysterious statement that lacks detail, but sufficient to confirm the imminent return of Brie Larson to the MCU. It’s hard to know where and when Captain Marvel will make her next appearance. But it is likely that the character will be used in at least the next two Avengersovies that should bring everyone together.
